Thumb release is the best release method for this one-piece traditional bow. Mediterranean release works but is not convenient for quick horseback mounted shooting. This is a simple, nostalgic traditional bow for horseback shooting, mounted archery.

Using a stringer will be much easier to attach the bowstring, especially for beginners. You may also use the step-through method by your hand.

Please note that the actual draw weight may have +/- 2-3 lbs difference.

Excellent Bow!

First time archer, I love this bow!

Accurate shooter with a smooth draw

I purchased this bow in 55 lbs, it's very attractive and a fun shooter.

I use 620 grain arrows and draw to 31 inches to hit my target accurately out to 30 yards. I haven't chronographed the speed - but 500 grain arrows fly very flat and fast. The bow is noisy - the string rubs against the siyahs making a very theatrical creaking noise. It was easily fixed by changing the string to typical dacron material and servings.

The handle will also click alarmingly - but it settled down after a few dozen shots and has not repeated. The handle feels rock solid and limbs are sturdy when when I push the bow to 32 inch draw on occasion to squeeze out some extra speed for long distance shots.

The bow was delivered in a reasonable period and arrived in perfect condition. The string it came with is durable and still perfect after 100s of shots. The bow itself is still in perfect condition. I actually use this bow more than my AF Archery Oak Tatar bow because it's so sturdy and a pleasure to do long draw with.

I use Huntingdoor carbon arrows (350 spine) and 300 grain field points, this bow shoots best for me with this combination - and they are very good quality at half the price of American brand Victory Decimators.
